This class will get adults with or without clay experience comfortable and productive on the potters wheel. We will work on the mechanics of wheel throwing, and work on making a number of things such as cups, bowls, small vases.

This class will explore various non-traditional ceramic surface techniques. Previous clay experience is required, as building instruction will not be focus during class time. Terra sig, patinas, non traditional glazes, slips, will be explored to achieve more variety and depth in surface.

Most projects take a couple of weeks to finish, so you may want to consider coming to a couple or few sessions, but they don't have to be consecutive. Bring your friends, do something new, make something great!

There are two options available, you can paint and carve semi-wet (leather hard) pottery that has been pre-made by us here at Papavero, or you can glaze already bisque fired pottery also made by us. Both options will be left for us to fire and will be available for pickup or shipping. $50 dollars a person, send us an email and we can get you booked in! Minimum of 6 people per session.

Week 2, June 17th from 5:00 - 7:00, head to Crazy Daisies with your fired planter, pick your plants and finish your creation!

Enjoy food and drinks from the Garden Cafe as you plant up your hand-made pot and shop the greenhouses too!

$60 includes your handmade planter and plants.
